Some Canadians in New York

So the past little while has been pretty nice, with another visit from Joe, Canadian Thanksgiving, and general fun times.

Joe looking suave, reading a Gibson novel in a Williamsburg cafe
We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving at Maria and Daniels along with another 2 Canadians and 1 American.

Going in for the cut
Stir that gravy!

All the other amazing food. I made the salad- strawberries, candied pecans, avocado and goats cheese. Joe also made the stuffing which was aaaamazing.
Other exciting highlights included going to see a Moth storytelling night, which is where real people get up in front of an audience and tell a true story without a script on a particular theme or subject (our night's was Science!). It was a ton of fun. We also hit up another awesome concert at the Williamsburg Music Hall- Los Campesinos!

But one of my favourite things of last week was going to the Brooklyn Flea Market in Fort Greene. Amazing food, the best brownie I've ever had, beautiful jewelery and vintage clothing + furniture. There were a plethora of typewriters for some bizarre reason and also really funky old cameras

Things are actually pretty effing stressful right now though- starting the search for internships, thinking about classes for next semester and also about the looming THESIS and the need for an adviser.  But still trying to get all my work done, and focus on the present!

Upcoming plans: trip to either Grimaldis or Lombardis for pizza tomorrow night, a party in Hoboken, New Jersey and one on the roof of an apartment in the Financial district. And the following weekend, my brother comes to visit! Woo!
