i was there.

I'm not going to make this a long post. Mostly because I don't have the ability to do justice to the shows I've seen this week. Somewhat because I'm exhausted.

I started the week with a Mountain Goats concert at the Bowery Ballroom. The venue is wonderful and the show was beautiful and moving, as Darnielle played bits and pieces from his vast catalogue. He is so charming and awkward in all the right ways. And as I've bragged about on Twitter, I had the joyous pleasure of witnessing "This Year" performed live with a guest appearance by Craig Finn, lead singer of the Hold Steady.
